Most of us agree that the speeches must be fun and original. Why do a re-run-we see enough of this on TV! Great words of wisdom on the best man speech. You hit it right on the nail when you said not say anything negative about the bride or her family-including jokes about them. Big mistake anyone ever does that. I really agree with you about using a best man speech guide. This will make or break a toast to the bride and groom. Of course, these speeches like you said cannot be boring. I mean it is the most anticipated talk during the reception. I just act myself and give what I call my “fire side” talk. Casual and very informal. I honestly believe that short is better than long.
